Mr Vijay Gupta was born on August 28th 1952 in a business family. He started his professional career at a young age in his family run company known as Eldee Wire Ropes Ltd. During these years, being on the manufacturing side he became an expert in all the products of steel that he deals in today. He then branched out on his own at the age of 24 into Trading of Steel. Since then there has been no looking back.

He has dealt in almost every product of steel in the construction area with some of the largest and best-known names in the field. He was representing Cotia S.A, Brazil for import of Pig Iron into India from 1988 to 1994. At that time, in partnership with the Alcari S.A.Switzerland (A Hinduja group Co) he had set the record for importing the largest consignment of Pig Iron in the country.

In 1992, he started representing the Aristrain Group of Co’s Spain to market their Long Products of Steel in the Indian market on an exclusive basis. Aristrain was later taken over by Aceralia S.A., Spain and Aceralia along with Arbed and Usionor have merged together to form the world’s 2nd largest steel conglomerate known as Acelor.

In 1997, he got into Power Generation through Renewable Energy i.e.: through Wind Mills. India at that time was the 2nd largest country to promote this sector and thus had a lot to offer which he took up on. He set a precedent by setting up the project in a record time of 67 days spread over 60 acre’s of land in Tamil Nadu on a complete turnkey basis, using German Technology. The Plant operates at one of the highest efficiencies not only in the state but also in the country. This project has become a role model for many a players in the Industry.

Under Mr Vijay Gupta’s leadership the company was the 1st company in India to be granted Infrastructure status and raise Capital Gain bonds u/s 54EA& EB for Rs.45 Crores for its expansion in the Wind Energy sector.

Due to his persuasive nature and his knack to make the most out of the minimum, he was inducted into The Wind Power Producers Association. Today along with the many changes in the body ,which is now known as The Indian Wind Power Association (IWPA). It has a National Council, of which he is the Vice-Chairman and Chairman of several committee’s. The IWPA has 7 regional chapters and have increased its member base from 200 members to 700 members, which constitute approximately 70% of the total installed Industry. Besides that, itis the only body to be a complete Industry platform where manufacturers, technocrats, developers, investors, financers, service providers all sit on a level playing field and share information with each other. In 2003 he has been appointed the Co-Chairman of The Indian Merchants Chambers-Energy Committee to promote Renewable sources of energy.

Mrs Suman Gupta is also a founder Director and Company Promoter of the company. She has been at the helm of affairs of the company. She has been at the helm of affairs of the company since incorporation.

She looks after the administrative affairs and human relations of the company. In addition she also head the day to day ongoing Wind power Business.
